Meet Karly!

Hi there!

I'm Karly Wilkins, and I am the Children's Librarian here at Weeks Public Library. I moved here from central Maine and am loving this beautiful state. When I am not at work, I can be found doing one of the following things- homework (I'm currently in grad school), painting, reading (fantasy and thrillers are my favorite), crafting, plant gathering (one can never have enough), watching hockey, or exploring the area.

I come from an education AND library background. I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, but fell in love with libraries after I was hired in a school library, where I worked for eight years. At the same time, I worked four years in a public library as a Children's Room assistant, where my love for public libraries flourished. I have worked with kids of many ages from all different backgrounds and with all different life stories, and I strive to make any library I work in a place where everyone feels welcome and safe.

Come in any time to say "hello", attend a program, get some good reading materials, see a friendly face, and so much more.

If you have a question, comment, or suggestion, feel free to email me at children@weekspubliclibrary.org or call WPL at 603.436.8548.
